Board of Education
The Board of Education serves as the governing body for District #69. A total of seven members are elected to serve a four-year term. Board meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise posted) at Pleasant Hill School. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings. If you are interested in becoming a Board of Education member, please contact the county clerk's office (Click HERE for more information).
In accordance with the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-16a), all members of the Pleasant Hill School District 69 Board of Education have completed the required School Board Member Leadership Training.
This training includes instruction in:
Education and labor law
Financial oversight and accountability
Fiduciary responsibilities
.**All Board members have also completed training on the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1.05), the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (325 ILCS 5/4), and Trauma Informed Practices (105 ILCS 5/10-22.39).
All required training was completed through the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB), as recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education and Global Compliance Network.
